Interfaith, because there are many paths up the mountain.  Every child in our care is raised in the faith traditions of their parents.  OI Children today are raised as Catholics, Baptists, Muslims, Buddhists, and Hindus.  Our supporters come from these same traditions, as well as Judaism, Humanism, and no faith traditions.

Interracial , because there is one race - the human race.  OI kids reflect all the diversities of Asia, Africa, and the Americas.  Our global staff, our Boards, and our volunteers likewise reflect a mosaic of ethnicity.

 International, because our neighbors are our family.Orphans International is open today in Indonesia, Haiti, Sri Lanka and the Dominican Republic. We continue to explore options to help children in Africa (Kenya, Liberia, Ghana, and Togo), Asia (India, China, the Philippines) and the Americas (Guyana).

Intergenerational, because the original concept was born of three generations: conceived by OI’s founder, with care modeled after the care provided to his son, with the initial feasibility study edited – and ultimately funded – by his mother. In each of our projects, at least three generations work together.

Internet-Connected, because knowledge today is at our fingertips. OI's children are connected to our child sponsors and the world at large through the Internet. Our laptop donation program makes much of this possible.
